Training puppies is a time consuming task, so be prepared to spend alot of time with your new best friend. Make sure the place you choose is permanent--preferably
outside. Once you get your pup to his designated area--Choose a
command word that you will use consistently.
For example: "Come on," "go potty" or "hurry up" in order to coax him into going. Once your puppy is finished be sure to praise him. Through positive reinforcement your pup will know he did the right thing and will learn quickly.
Potty Guidelines For Taking Out Pups In between the above relief trips you should take your pup out at least once every hour. This will continue for a few months until the puppy's bladder matures and he is better able to retain himself.
