Using an Electronic Dog Training Collar is a Safe and Effective Form of Training.

Despite popular belief the use of an electronic dog training collar is one of the safest and most effective methods currently available for training a dog.

The modern day collars are carefully designed to ensure that they do not have enough power to do any physical damage to your dog. These collars have been successfully proven to cause less harm then the old fashioned physically reprimanding your dog. This is mostly due to the automatic timeout feature that is now standard on all of these collars. This feature will cut off the power to the collar after a brief amount of time. This time out feature will prevent overzealous or misguided trainers to abuse their dogs.

There are many different types of collars currently being manufactured. Some of the most common types of collars include remote trainers, anti barking trainers, beeper locators, and electronic fence systems. The standard features on these types of collars include a great range which is usually in the area of 1200 yards or more, different intensity levels, time outs, rechargeable batteries, and waterproofing. Most of the collars also feature a new positive reward stimulation that vibrates at a very low frequency.

These collars are very simplistic and the average user will have no trouble using the controls. Most of the collars that you purchase will come with a small hand held remote for administering rewards and punishments. The exceptions to this rule include the anti bark trainer and the invisible fence system. Both of these products react automatically according the dogs actions and require no control by the user.
