Dog seat belts should always be used when
traveling with your doberman.
Crash tests conducted by IMMI determined that a pets
weight multiplied by 30 would be equal to the force
generated in a 30 m.p.h. collision. In other words, a
40 pound dog would be propelled with a deadly force of 1200
pounds.
If you are involved in a collision, your unbelted
canine companion will become a projectile
inside your vehicle.
Upon impact the dog may slam into you,
your family or some other part of the car
interior...resulting in serious injury or death.
Tragedies like this can easily be prevented if the
proper pet restraints were used.
Driver distraction is also a major issue when
traveling with "loose" pets.
According to the National Highway Traffic
Administration, driver distraction accounts for
approximately 1.2 million automobile crashes per year.
(Probably 1.2 million lawsuits too)
Seat Belts for Dogs Will:
Reduce Driver Distraction
Reduce Pet Injuries
Protect Passengers
Prevent Life Changing Events
Save Lives

is worth a pound of cure.
Dog seat belts are well worth
the nominal cost compared to what's at stake.
